You wake up in the middle of the night, troubled by something but you can’t put your finger on it. But upon taking a walk to clear your head, you stumble across a mysterious portal...

Upon crossing through, you exit from a broken mechanical portal, and discover a new strange parallel world!

You can find the remains of the creator, who also seems to be a victim of the same portal.

To reactivate the machine, you will need to complete the rest of it. It seems like there are only a few parts missing, but navigating this new world to find them is not going to be an easy task!

Can you make it through the unusual terrain to collect the missing parts and go back home?

Gameplay

Playing Within The Parallel, you will have to platform through unusual chaotic terrain, in lieu of Getting over it with Bennett Foddy. To find all the Pieces, you will have to explore the environment, finding lots of fun hidden details as a result.

Exploring rewards you with plenty of skips to avoid some difficult platforming, so make sure to be on the look for those! Good luck!

Development

This is our first-ever project in Crayta. We discovered this engine just a few days before the game jam started.  While we have experience in lots of other engines, Crayta provided a new difficult challenge to overcome, and as a result, we learned a lot in the process. Learning Crayta and Lua with a school schedule made this no easy feat. We hope you enjoy this challenging platformer and would love to hear feedback.
